I have a motorola milestone on order and I am trying to figure out how to top up the prepaid broadband.

I cant see where you go to convert your prepaid credit to data.
Is there a number you ring and press 1 to convert $30 to 1gb of data or something like that?

You enable a data pack on you sim in store. You then simply just start using data and you are charged as you go, at 10c per MB and use what you need. You are only charged what you used.

If your going to use prepay data you may want to look at this

http://telecom.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1696

I use it for both my data sticks and mobile fone.

To enable Mobile Broadband options on your account, call *333, and press 3 and then 2.

EDIT: There's no "topping up" of Telecom XT Mobile Broadband - you simply get charged another same allowance block for $29.95 then overage once you've gone over your initial allowance.

Dont like the idea of that mtopup option. Telecom knowing my bank account number has been a bad thing in the past.

Ok so I understand now. I must nominate a certain amount each month and they will convert the $ credit to megabytes credit at the beginning of each cycle so long as I keep the $ credit topped up

Not 100% correct - Telecom don't precharge the entire cost of the block. After you reach $29.95 at 10c per MB you get the next 200MB free (or more with the current promot) and then pay 10c per MB again up until you've reached $29.95 again.

When I set my Mtopup  up I did not have to do anything on  Telecom,  only  with my bank account where I had to list the  numbers and passwords  that were apart of Mtopup..
