I've been looking through all the terms to see if there is any catch to them.
Like who can use them, are they tied to a phone number or something.

I guess the only thing would be if I changed provider all subaccounts would also go, but is this the only downside?

Sub accounts are for additional members of the household to use - the primary account holder can create up to 10 additional email accounts with @xtra.co.nz addresses, with free telephone support and services like Flickr Pro (archive quality photo sharing).

The association of primary user@xtra.co.nz account and sub accounts is that the household has with the Internet access with Telecom Retail.

The only one Telecom Security Suite per Internet connection that is free for as long as you have services with Telecom Retail automatically renewing for free every year (broadband).

It's suited to non-technical people who want telephone support for services like email, security and photos.

Friends don't let friends use/rely ISP provided email addresses.
