Hi guys. Wondering if anyone has any advise. at about 2am i left wellington and went to titahi bay to see a friend at a party. I was texting along the way but just before I got there she stopped replying. When I arrived she told me that her phone had JUST been stolen before I got there. It was a $799 XT phone on a contract that she had had for 3 days. She left it on her kitchen counter and it dissapeared right before 2 people left the party. They suspected one dodgy guy called Tyson. Then 2 days later (this morning) I get a text from a random number asking who I am. I ask who he is first and he tells me I text his phone on saturday night and said im leaving. Then i clicked, I texted her phone cause I thought she wasnt replying to me. Little did i know her phone hot stolen. The idiot replyed and said his name was Tyson. So now I can confirm his new humber he has with the phone, and that HE did it. Trouble is that isnt enough evidence for the cops to do anything.

So all he done is take the sim card out and replace with his own. Is there not a way with the new XT network they can block the IMEI or anything like that? And if so on XT will it still work on Vodafone? And will tey block it too??

Or is it just leave it as a loss?? :S
