Hi All

I have been having trouble visiting overseas webpages starting from yesterday afternoon (5 Dec) (everything was OK before).

I can connect to most of the NZ sites alright. I can skype with my friends in Hong Kong, I can MSN other overseas friends. I can listen to Internet radio from the US. However, I CANNOT see those overseas websites that I used to be able to (e.g. some of my friends' website at a university sites in Hong Kong http://www.hkbu.edu.hk).

It seems that the problem is restricted to overseas websites, maybe it is related to the transparent proxy servers that Telecom is implementing.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Cheers

May

Sorry for the post.

Yes, I did read through the posts below. It seems that they are talking about DNSs and I think the problem is from those transparent proxies.

Sorry!

That discussion is about the proxy. Also check www.geekzone.co.nz/FaultByISP.asp
