is the nokia 6225 just beater than the 6200 because on web sites for pjone down loads it has compatability with the 6200 but not the 6225

They are identical phones except one is GSM/GPRS/EDGE and one is CDMA 1X.
Operators can lock down or alter some settings.

Lots of download stuff mentions the GSM version and not CDMA version, in general, if its a WAP download, it should work on both, though some operators (case in point: TNZ), stop you from saving some content via WAP, so that you have to buy it through the operators own portal (at inflated prices).

Neither model contains a beater function.
