Hi,

Can anyone else get this to work? Does it ever work more than once in a blue moon???

Eg. http://www.telecom.co.nz/mbbmeter

Once logged in I get:

"Service Unavailable: Your Telecom is temporarily unavailable.

Message: Sorry, but this service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

I was trying to setup some people with Telecom T Sticks for connectivity but the reliability of Telecom's reporting systems seems to be non-existant.

Yes, I am aware you can txt for the balance but that isn't an option in this case.

The amount of customers Telecom must have lost on Telecom XT prepaid mobile broadband must be pretty high I'd expect, considering the constant battle to access usage and be able to top up devices easily without mobile phone access.

Try going to m.telecom.co.nz and clicking on your Telecom from there.

This just goes to show how difficult telecom makes things.

At one point, they were issuing temporary passwords via sms to check your balances. Not sure if this is still needed or not, but, makes ipad top up very difficult.

What is the best way to top up an ipad now?

This was so that we could authenticate users who were not going through our proxies.

If you try going to http://yt.telecom.co.nz/mobile do you get the same result? If so give 123 a call it may have something to do with your account setup.

PM Me your mobile number and sim card number, and what you would like as a password for your ipad and I will set you up a password for telecom.co.nz/mbbmeter

Then you can topup using 0800 323232 with the voucher number.

Oh so true.  The speed and coverage on the T-stick is fantastic, pity the support systems are so shithouse.

/this is no way bagging on the amazing work NealR and Akia do, off their own backs.

Well, I just tried to access:

http://yt.telecom.co.nz/mobile

The link times out.

If I login at :

http://www.telecom.co.nz/mbbmeter

I still get the same error I originally posted.

If I go to:

http://m.telecom.co.nz

I can click on the Your Telecom link but then it times out as well.

I guess I've got to call the support line and try sort this out which seems to be the case everytime I try and help someone with one of these T Sticks / iPads. In future I'm going to get people to try 2 Degrees.

Have you tried calling 123???

It sounds like something is wrong with your account and normally that sort of thing should be able to be sorted over the phone.

I have a LG WinMo 6.1 fone here setup correctly and have never been able to access "My Telecom' on it. Just times out and have to dial *333. The Samsung setup the same way works fine..

For the record I am having exactly the same problem as caldazar.

I've only had the T-Stick for a couple of weeks, and the usage meter worked fine for the first few days but since then, I get the "Service Unavailable" message.  I've tried via the T-Stick and via my home internet connection.

I'm also getting timeouts connecting to http://yt.telecom.co.nz from home, but I can access that site via the T-Stick.  (This doesn't help me find out how much of my bundle I have used though.)

I called 123 and after a bit of mucking around they sent me a new password, which I relayed to them so they were able to see the problem themselves.  At that point I was told it was a known problem but was intermittent and only affects some customers.

While it didn't help in my case, I was also told that the problem can sometimes be worked around by closing other browser tabs or using a different browser.

I had this problem several weeks ago with my T-sticks  and found that the address had been changed to.

http://www.telecom.co.nz/mbbmeter

Redirects to the above URL... Better to use mbbmeter than the long annoying URL.

Yup same problem here on one of my XT SIMs. I now have a call logged and it has been escalated. Have been told there is an issue for some customers and they are investigating.
