Is it just me or is anyone having problems with their telecom mobiles this afternoon...

i got a txt msg about an hour ago and since then my phone hasn't been able to connect to make a call or send a txt.
i have tried turning on/off, removing battery and even putting it in and out of airplane mode but still nothing...

I have a hyundai tx-95c

i thought i would ask here first before i try and take it to a telecom shop to get it looked at... its still under warrenty so i should have no trouble there.. but its just a bloody hassle having to get it sent away and not being given a replacement...

anyone else having similar problems with their phone???

its not jus my phone that seems to be having the problem... my mum came home a few mins ago and hers is not able to connect either...

however i went fro a drive and got about 1.5km down the road and manage to connect to *333 and send txt msgs etc... so im guessing a celltower might be the problem???

(btw: im in casebrook in chch)

I and a few people I know have been having problems sending text messages over the last couple of weeks, both here in Wellington and in Hawkes Bay.

The phone says "Message Failed" but sometimes (not always) the message is delivered anyway. Sometimes it just fails once then sends and sometimes it fails 5 or 10 times before it send. Annoying for the person on the other end too because they often recieve multiple copies of the messages.

Has anyone else been experiencing this problem?

problem has been resolved now.. it was fixed about 2:30pm this afternoon about 24hrs after it began...

it was something to do with the coverage for prepaid cellphones in my area apparently..

Yeah I live in the Hutt and work in Wgtn/Picton, and have had that problem quite a bit.

ok this is not likely but it is possable did you no that someone could reprogam there phone with your phone number and then make a call to *123 and as long as they are on that call and as long as you are useing the same base station as they are it will stop all your phone calls and text message's and wap and p2t.

i don't no if you wawnt to give this a try or not but try driveing to another town adn useing your mobile.

an other thing where i liv in havelock the telecom network went down and no one could make any calls or anything so this could be a factor too

Hey.

I often have problems in Palmerston North, and others I know with texts delaying, and sometimes being an hour plus late.

Also, probablems receiving calls(mobile), going to answer machine. Could be phone but hope not.

I regulary have the problem where it says texts havent sent and they actually go through so i try again and get charged for 2 texts. Its really fustrating and talking to telecom they said i would have to log everytime it happens. too much hassle

I know someone with the exact same problem.

My phone doesn't do that usually but sometimes.

It just gets delayed.  I've noticed this since Xmas.

Telecom always say the same thing, or blame it on Voda if sending to them.
