Hi, I am getting disconnects for just a few minutes several times a day on this newly installed 2701.  I have tried an upstream MTU of both 1500 (the default) and 1492.  Can anyone help with this or is it just another case of a faulty unit:

The system log entry is above.
Thanks
Mike

Hi,

I have not seen an answer to this problem, and as I am having the same thing happen, wondered if anyone has solved this.

Original log entries are as before:
WRN 2011-03-10T15:15:01+13:00 cwmd:  session timed out...
INF 2011-03-10T15:15:01+13:00 cwmd:  session will be retried in 194173(ms)
INF 2011-03-10T15:18:31+13:00 cwmd:  retried session started, server: 'https://acs-01.telecom.co.nz:17016/cwmpWeb/CPEMgt', event code(s): '0 BOOTSTRAP'

Now they have changed to:
WRN  2011-03-17T14:37:38+13:00  cwmd:  authentication has already been tried once and we still don't get in
WRN  2011-03-17T14:37:38+13:00  cwmd:  session failed...
INF  2011-03-17T14:37:39+13:00  cwmd:  dns query 291019010565.bootstrap.cms.2wire.com on retry 1855
INF  2011-03-17T14:37:39+13:00  cwmd:  session will be retried in 227786(ms)
INF  2011-03-17T14:41:36+13:00  cwmd:  retried session started, server: 'https://acs-01.telecom.co.nz:17016/cwmpWeb/CPEMgt', event code(s): '0 BOOTSTRAP'

That suggests it might be a Telecom thing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Nick

In the end I just replaced mine with a cheap ADSL2+ modem/router as I really can't be bothered with gear that just doesn't work.  Rock solid now on the same connection.
