Hi there

I'm trying to setup my Macbook Pro to tether with my Nokia 6120c and it's not going so well.

I can connect to my Nokia from the mac and have set the mac as an authorised connection.

I have gone into network preferences to setup the connection and have created a new bluetooth connection. I have put in the:
telephone number as *99#
no account name
no password.

In the advanced section the settings are

MODEM
Vendor: Nokia
Model: GPRS (GSM/3G)
APN: internet.telecom.co.nz
CID: 1

DNS
Blank

WINS
Blank

PROXIES
None selected

PPP
Disconnect if Idle for 10 min checked
Disconnect when user logs out checked
Disconnect when switching user accounts checked
Redial 1 times if busy, waiting 5 seconds before redialing checked
Use TCP header compression checked

When I try to connect it just sits there spinning and trying to connect for about 30 seconds, then it says that

"An error occurred with the modem. Try reconnecting. If the problem continues, verify your settings and contact your Administrator."

What am I doing wrong?

I've never had to enter a phone number. Try leaving it blank.
