Works fine with other APN's, but when i use TelecomContent, using either proxy port 80 or secure port 8080 secure websites just turn up blank.

Ive double checked my APN settings,  but are there any obvious things i should be checking up on?

Time and Date is correct, synced with network.
Device is HTC Desire.

Are you connecting to a SSL Site on the standard 443 port?  Or on another port.  I have seen some issues with non-standard ports be it over SSL or Clear.

Just as FYI - 8080 is not a secure port it's just a tunnel.

I'd like to know what pages you're going to so I can conduct some testing here myself on devices with TelecomContent.

It is purely a proxy on TelecomContent and does not care if it's http or https.

Either PM or reply is fine.
