I downloaded the Chorus cabinet migration schedule back in Feb and noticed that my cabinet ETM/BU was planned to be upgraded on the 16th March.

I checked my line speed today, and still connecting at ADSL1 speeds.

I then noticed that Chorus have released a March migration schedule which now states that the planned migration date is yet to be advised?

Could this be that Telecom have sent their contractors to Christchurch, hence delayed work in Auckland?

Yes earthquake work is the priority and will delay various non critical things.

I've been told could be June / July but they wont commit to an eta.
You think they would get their Techs to do some OT or get some of the laid off Downers Techs in.

Telecom is migrating customers onto the Roadside Cabinets before they have been qualified. When migrating customers, most of the cabinets don?t have Fibre yet or don?t have DSL so to get broadband working they must connect you via the local exchange. If the Roadside Cabinet runs copper back to the Exchange you can double your distance which decreases your broadband speed.
Telecom is gambling on most customers not noticing their broadband speed has halved or worse.
When resources become available they are connecting the Fibre to the Roadside Cabinet which will increase your speed but they will not guarantee what that speed will be it may not be as fast as before.

And lets hope ALU and Telecom have ISAM frames and cards in stock when they get around to fitting the cabinets out, with the current issues in Japan I expect shortages, there has already been comments in the media about this from ALU, Erricson and others.
