I brought the MF636 a few days ago, and as such, the speeds have been dysmal. It has full UMTS 3G HSUPA signal strength. The speeds I have been getting are 1.4Mbps. Only once has the speed been to 7.44Mbps. The upload is fine 1.7Mbps.

The modem has been in the same place during the slow and fast speed difference.
Is this slow speed due to my location from the celltower which I estimate based upon the Cell Tower maps to be 5KM. No line of sight though as there is alot of trees.

What sort of speeds are you expecting?

Downloads speeds from a WCDMA network can vary depending on a lot of factors. IMHO there is nothing wrong with a ~1.5mbps speed.

1.4MB/s is really good for a T-Stick...a lot of rural customers would love to get that sort of speed.
