There's a specific cell tower which has frequently caused issues for me with packet data. My phone can't receive any data at times, and as soon as I move to another tower it works perfectly.
Today I had this issue from 4ish till 5:20 when I left the area. I managed to get some data through just after 5 before it stopped working again.

when my phone connects to the other tower it instantly fails again.

I'm not sure if this is my phone or what. Briefly tried with an e75 from telecom and that failed too.
