Here in Dunedin a cell tower on a trailer has appeared in the Golden Sun carpark. Why would that be and whose it, anyone know?

Same in Wellington, on Tinakori Rd in the old BP station.

Are you sure this is one of ours? Our guy who looks after the COW's is on my floor and says that the only COW deployed in Dunedin is at Otago University currently.

The Telecom site on the Ministry of Health building (other side of the motorway) is gone so Telecom have presumably not renewed a lease for the building. The COW and a temporary cellsite on scaffolding in Molesworth St are replacing it.

Why would that be? ... Generally people want to use their cellphones wherever they are.
Really why does it matter who's it is? Its a cellphone mast, the big box thingy will say who owns it.

There was 2 chorus vans parked next to the Dunedin site the other day, so that would make me lean towards Telecom. And my coverage jumps on my R6 when we drive past.

Ok it might be a temp site, so will ask the South island coverage guy tomorrow and see.

Just checked with the guys and it is not one of ours. Chorus do serve other telco's (not just Telecom) so it will be another providers COW.
