First of all I have to say that I hate ranting but I'm so annoyed with Telecom that I have to let it out.
We have had our home line with Telecom nigh on a decade now and have our toll calls through Slingshot.
About two weeks ago our line starting acting up, we could ring out but couldn't receive calls. A tech came round and sourced the problem to our home alarm system interfering with the line, he fixed it and left.
That night we discovered that the line sounded really shocking, static and oddball beeping, we were also unable to make toll calls. We got in touch with Telecom and they said we had a toll bar in place and that it had been there since 2001!
Now here's what really got me going, Telecom are refusing to investigate why the toll bar is now there and are refusing to remove it since we don't have our tolls through them.
Slingshot are looking into it for us but they can't do much unless Telecom remove the toll bar, which of course they aren't willing to do.
So, I am now having to pay Telecom for use of the line even though they're acting like spoiled children and also having to pay Slingshot for toll calls I can't make.
Awesome job telecom, time to switch it all over to Vodafone.
