Ok, I've finally decided to buy a Telecom phone, I was looking at the Nokia 6225 and Nokia 6235..

anyone here owners/ex-owners of these phones? how well do they peform?

both old phones, especially the 6225 - its a 3 year old model (and then some).

the joystick on the 35 is too fiddly for big hands, but nice phone. Overall better than 6225, and records video i think.

both have infrared for PCSuite syncing and 1x data.

if i was buying one JUST for basic voice+sms id go 6225.

common complaint is screen hard to see in bright light, and backlight turns off too quick.

Second tonygughes (seems to be a pattern!!), the 6225 IS an old phone and the screen res is pretty poor for the camera, thats a common complaint.

The 6235 is a pretty good price point, $249 for photo & video but I'd go for the LGNX225 or the Sanyo 3100 if Photo was your main draw card as they both offer it at $199 & 249 respectively and are both Fliptop, so have slightly larger screens with better clarity.

My 2c worth anyways

Work gave us all 6235's. Not a bad phone I guess..."it just works".
