Hi

Can you upload MP3s to your Samsung A920 from your computer. I have heard that you need to load them onto its memory card then put the card into the phone...

If anyone has this phopne I would love to ask them a few question before I buy.  I just love the form factor of this phone..

thx

I have this phone, but have loaded all my MP3's on the a memory card.

Telecom have a hot deal on this phone at the moment. Includes 512mb micro sd card, usb card reader, headphones, and speakers for $499. Great deal.

Battery life is good 2-3 days of heavy use if I do not use the media/mp3 player.
I send 1400 - 1600 texts (mega text), and use all of my airtime included in my plan (400mins) every month, plus incoming calls etc.

I use the notes and calander on the phone a bit. Works well.  At the moment I am using Bitpim to sync contacts, and calander.  Also you should be able to sync photos and media.

The phone comes with the data cable.

The UI is easy to use. and is very responsive.  Bluetooth works well.

Great phone, and I am sure you would be very happy with it.

Mine didn't come with a data cable. It did come with a cable so you can print pics (PictBridge).

Any help would be great

This cable is for PictBridge printing only at only, so no software. You will need a memory card reader to transfer files to your phone via the memory card.

thanks for that, ended up going to the Telecom shop and someone who knew what they were talking about told me that, wish they would make it clear when you buy things like that, I specifically wanted it to transfer data, and thought with the usb cable and blue tooth it would happen, apparently not :)

I have a Samsung phone A920 and i am trying to connect it to the computer but its not recongising the phone.

I have plugged it in via the USB port. Do i need some sort of software so it gets recognised??? or is there some setting that needs to be changed on my phone.

Thank you

You will have to get a memory card reader, which you can get at any telecom shop for about $20. A bit of a pain, but thats the only way you can transfer songs and pictures.

Hello :)
I've just become interested in buying this phone and I'd like to use my own MP3s as ringtones. Can this be done?
If not, does anyone know of a Telecom phone that will do this - or does Telecom not allow it as they want people to spend money downloading them? (wouldn't surprise me!)
