hello all....

I have a nokia 6265 and whenever i go to take a picture using the camera it comes up with "operation failed" same with video clips. Is this because theres not enough memory on my phone? I think there is about 10MB free atm. It has an SD card in it atm but it doesnt work....as its not a kingston one. If anyone can shed any light on the problem would be much appreciated =D

Welcome to Geekzone.

The reason your mini SD card doesnt work is because its a high speed card and they do not adhere to the mini SD standards so well. You need to get a Kingston or a Sandisk.

As for the operation failed try change where the phone stores it images and then pull the battery out and switch it back to default. Should fix it, had the same problem on my 6265 once. Havent seen that message since.

Also pay to make sure you really do have enough memory

Thanks for that :) will try and it and see how it goes. Just out of curiosity, i was looking at the kingston cards on ebay....worked out it would be about $40NZ for a 1GB...does this sound too cheap to you?

1GB MiniSD card from a Telecom Retail Store (Telecom Owned) retails for $79.99.

Depends if you want a now solution, and Kingston offer a 'lifetime warranty', so your choice on where u go, but I doubt would would get much support if something did go wrong on this side fo the world, unless you purchased it from a local retailer.
