I was on telecom for as long as I can remember.

But alot of people I knew were getting incredible download speeds, and they were using Telstra, so I switched.

I have had non stop issues and slow internet which times out all the time and NEVER works properly. Sure the download is fast, but it's not worth it when you can't even google something.

Just wantd to say, I miss telecom, and you guys are lucky, and I would sign back up in a heartbeat if there was no cancellation fee Tongue Out

Me too.

In all the years we were with them, there was only ever one outage. It was because they were upgrading the exchange gear.
EDIT: Although the phone & DSL did eventually die during the quake as the cabinet ran out of power in the backup supply.  -Cant really count that as their fault.

Not bad really.

Only left because was booted off big time plan.
(How could you do that to me :( )

Slingshot AYCE is good.
Service overall is getting better, and plan goes good, not as good as big time. But pulling enough data to say that $80 per month is well spent.

Telecom has been great. They might not be the fastest or the best value, but as the OP said, they sure are reliable and any outages are few and far between... And quickly resolved.

Their caching web proxy and usage meter have had a few issues over the last year or so, your glasses might be a bit rose tinted.

However since they started refreshing their prices inline with competitors more often I would agree Telecom has a reasonable price for basically the best peak time performance in the land with "minimal issues".
