Hey guys,

Quick question. The Apache doesn't come native with Voice Recognition software.. or at least its not mentioned on any of the reviews I've read.

In one review however it mentioned MS Voice Command which is availible for purchase, the features of the program seem pretty cool.

I'm after three things really:

1. Confirmation that the Apache on Telecom is the same with regards to having no OEM voice recognition options.

2. Other alternatives that people have tried/used... with the focus mainly on voice dialling, everything else is icing.

3. If there are no other decent alternatives, do Business dealers sell MS Voice Command? Does anyone happen to know off the top of their head? (US$39)

Many thanks.

The update for Apache AKU2 should have a voice dialer program (but not the cool Voice Command functions such as speech recognition, appointment announcement, media player control).

For other functionality such as provided by Voice Command you can try some Fonix software.

Microsoft Voice Command is not available for sale in Australia or New Zealand.

Awesome, much appreciated Mauricio!

I did wonder about AKU2 and if there may have been one, I'll have a nosey to see if I can find the complete list of implemented updates.

I had a feeling after checking the MS site it wasn't availbile here, at least through direct sale... bit strange but I guess we're not worth the effort just yet?

Windows Mobile updates are distributed by the OEM or operator. In the case of the TNZ Apache, the AKU2 is already available om Telecom New Zeraland's website.
