Hi all, am now a proud 6265 owner, but was wondering if any of you fine people could give me a gentle nudge in the direction of some good sites for ringtones, message alerts etc please?

I get my ringtones by searching google for midi ringtones, stealing the sample MP3's from xtras mobile site (if you can read html you can get the samples) or by making my own.

Converting MP3s too AAC is the best, I use Nokia Music Manager, which is part of PC Suite

Sweet - care to elaborate on HTML reading in email perhaps, if it's not for everyone? Am used to reading sources for movie trailers etc if it's anything like that...

All my ringtones on my 6265 are simply full length MP3s. I dont even cut them up or convert them.

"Download the audio as mp3" (hehe), and copy the files you want over to your phone.

Easy as that.

The problem i find is that:
a) full length MP3s usually have some silence at the start so you miss precious seconds of 'running to answer the phone' time
b) if you are like me and store your MP3s on the memory card, when the card is removed it resets the ringtone. Samples are small enough to store lots of them in the ringtones folder.

Will also try both short and normal length mp3s and see what they are like...

WHEN I can get a bluetooth USB adaptor dongle (seem to be in short supply at moment?) as have no way of transferring data to phone at this stage...

I found a memory card is the best way to transfer large amounts of data. Bluetooth is good for syncing, but if you want to load up the card with MP3s then a reader is a must have.

I just use an Free MP3 Editor i downloaded to edit my MP3 Ringtones.

This way i can include the exact part of the song i want as my ringtone and can make it a shorter length so it doesnt take much room (I store the tones on my phone rather than my MiniSD.
