I need to run some dial-up networking (DUN) tests with a CDMA phone.
FYI: Reason for this is that some of our overseas customers are still on CDMA networks.
This is proving to be very difficult with the impending shutdown of the Telecom CDMA network.
We've tried 2 different phones (even getting one from Trademe as a last resort), only to find that although the phone technically supports Bluetooth DUN, it appears that the firmware has been modified (by Telecom/Sanyo?) to disable the Bluetooth DUN profile.
Questions:
(1) Can somebody confirm that the Sanyo SCP-6650 with Telecom firmware doesn't support Bluetooth DUN.
(2) Is there anyway to enable it? (guess answer is no, but thought I'd ask)
(3) Anyone know of a model of Telecom CDMA phone that does support Bluetooth DUN (that hopefully I can find still connected to the CDMA network and available for sale on Trademe!).
Thanks for your help.
Kind Regards,
Nigel H.
