Since yesterday (15.11.11), I have been unable to access incoming email on my HTC Wildfire 500. My provider is Telecom.

I am receiving email fine on my PC and iPad.

My existing incoming mail has disappeared.

Instead, I recieive a security warning saying "there are problems with the security certificate fot this site" with three choices: CONTINUE, VIEW and CANCEL. CONTINUE brings the notice back, VIEW shows me a seemingly meaningless certificate from Verisign and CANCEL leaves me with a blank, empty inbox.

Telecom says they are aware of the problem but give no indication when it will be fixed.

Has anyone else had this problem or can throw any light on it?

I can access my mail through the browser but it's a pain.

Thank you.

I've had the same problem on my samsung galaxy- I didn't bother lodging anything because I assumed it was just a temporary glitch....

I noted the same problem yesterday (15/11/2011).
Checked the Telecom Website, No Network problems reported.

Visited the Telecom Shop in Wellington today and was informed that there
is a problem with the xtra email service for the XT network.
No information available when it will be corrected.
"There will not be any information on the Telecom Website as the
problem only effects a limited number of users"

Contacted Telecom Xtra and Telecom Helpline.
They were first not aware about any problems, but found out that there
is a network issue.
"There is no information available when it will be back to normal"

Service back to normal again for me today 19/11/2011.
There is however a "Broadband - Email Issue" posted on the Telecom website 17 Nov 2011.

Thanks to all, especially Goran.

My phone was back to normal yesterday.

Still no information offered as to the nature of the problem although I did receive an apology from Telecom when I complained about poor communication.
