Yes, calls not being connected, just getting engaged signal immediately, tried variety of numbers. Data is having no problems though and running well.

Can't text, have no credit but can ring 027s, not 021s or 022s.

Also can't ring *333 or *123.

Better hope we don't hear stories of things happening "south of Taupo" again.

Anyone know if 111 emergency calls are passing through? If not, then it's like early 2010 all over again.

Data is working fine here in Napier, but sent a text and it charged me 80 cents Frown

Don't want to test calling, but people on facebook are reporting that they can call for free but are being disconnected regularly.

No problems here in Dunedin. Texts/Calls/Data all working perfectly.

Edit: While they are all working, I am being charged 80c per text.

This would explain why I just ran out of credit and had to top up...

Masterton - In the same house issue affects one prepaid Telecom XT but not the other, so its a weird issue tonight. Same plans etc as well. Data is fine on both. Either Telecom's helpdesk is over loaded or turned the phones off for the night ;) No change to there websites network status either. And not allowing me to submit a fault online like it normally does.   Also i don't know if anyone else finds this but the XT network has alot of overnight faults lasting up to an hour ish usually beginning in that 12 midnight to 3am timeframe.

from Telecom Website:

Prepaid Billing Issue - We are aware of a charging issue for mobile services between 10:20pm last night and 1am this morning. Mobile Customers would have been incorrectly charged at international rates for text messages sent in New Zealand and some voice calls were not charged. Credits for incorrectly charged texts will proactively be applied as soon as possible to all affected customers, uncharged calls will not be corrected. We apologise for this inconvenience.

Haha, only $10? I was organising an event and sent a 4 part text message to 8 or so people. Oh well, these things happen. On the plus side, I got 10 international minutes from the catch a kea game when I topped up...
