hey people,

ive recently bought a LG NX225 and i have a few things I was wondering. I cna't find anything about them in the manual and i was thinking maybe you people would be able to help me.

1. My friend has a different callback number to her cellphone and whenever I try to text her it trys to send it to her callback number and not her cellphone number. I have to delete that recipent and add her cell number. Is there anyway that you can change this?

2. Can you download alerts for it off the Telecom website? I downloaded a ringtone but i couldn't use it as my message alert. On the Telecom website it says you can download them but on the phone there isn't the option of using a downloaded alert (only default or voice memo).

It would be great if ypu could help me out Laughing

Thank you

With the callback number try Menu -> Settings -> Messaging -> Callback Number -> Select My Phone Number -> ok

Perhaps try saving both numbers under her name but have the callback number under work or other? That way the mobile normally auto-selects the number under the Mobile number by default....

Sorry, I meant for you to change the callback number on your friends phone, not yours.

Your not the only one having issues with the callback number reply, it is a setting in the lg to reply to both and even sending it away will not fix this.  All you can do is ask your friends to change their call back numbers to their mobile numbers.

I know that you believe that you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what i meant!

Great news they have recognised the texting fault at telegistics so you could just send your phone away for repair and a software upgrade.

Hey, I had this same sort of problem with a 5600, when you open a txt up it will have the Reply Number highlighted, then when you scroll down to read the rest of the txt it will highlight the callback number. Not too sure if this is the your problem but hope it helps.

There is no point sending your device to the repair agent as there is no software they have that changes anything in that area of the phone
