I hope those Skinny folks are monitoring this forum.

I am having problem to buy top up vouchers from Countdown.  My wife and I tried to buy Skinny top up vouchers from Countdown Westcity (Henderson) last Sunday (12th) and today (Friday 17th).  In both occassions the check out peoplw cannot get it from their POS terminal.

However, my wife could get one from New World Metro (Akl city) on Tuesday 14th with no problem, why is that?

By the way, when we can do online top up using credit cards?

Thanks!

Yes we are monitoring here :-)  I'll get our channel people to check out the Countdown situation.  Also, the new website is in test at the moment and there are a few creases that we need to iron out before we launch it.  I can't give a precise date yet but it is getting close.  That will give you the ability to fully manage your account online, including using credit cards.  Thanks for your patience whilst we are in beta launch.

Thanks LivingSkinny for the head's up. By the way, the good news is that I have no problem buying a Skinny topup voucher from Dick Smith. =-)

Different retailers use different providers for their voucher systems - the main two being EziPay and ePay. Foodstuffs use EziPay and Progressive use ePay.

FWIW ePay are currently in the process of seeking Commerce Commission approval to but EziPay, so if anybody has any views on this now is the time to send in your comments.

I've had confirmation that all the info has gone out to Countdown so can only assume it hasn't filtered through to all the staff on the checkouts.    I'd suggest asking them to call the supervisor over.  Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll send someone on a mystery shopper trip.

I have forgotten to mention that the check out woman did ask her supervisor for help, but both of them cannot figure out how to do it.  To their credit, they were very polite and apologised that they could not get it done.

May be you can send a mystery shopper to double check.  Laughing

OK I'll see whose route is going out that way and get them to check it.

Meanwhile, we have had another info blast sent out to them (tells them about Skinny and what to do) so maybe try again next time you're picking up the eggs and milk :-)

Hi we sent a mystery shopper out and I'm sorry to report that he had the same experience.  We are working with them now on additional training.
