8 so far, they were first coming in every min, but now it has been 15 mins between the last ones.

Initially I thought it was an app or something as I had installed one that claimed to show SMS's and stuff on my TV which never worked so I removed it, but 2 more SMS's about the voicemail have arrived since removing that.

This is on a SGS2 using the standard old supplied telecom version on it, I have rooted it but not gone ahead and installed anything newer on it.

Will try a power cycle if they continue, but chances are its a network problem right?

Have you logged a fault with 120 about this?

PM me you're details with mobile number and fault # and I can see what's going on.  Saw your messages on Twitter but thought it would be just as easy to reply here.

Looks like you have Voicemail Viewer on your phone

http://telecom.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3251/~/voicemail-viewer

Here is how to turn it on and off

How do I get it?
Text ON to 178

How do I stop it?
Text OFF to 178 to go back to the icon notification.

Without any further details we can't really help. What number is it coming from? What does the message say? Do you actually have voicemail turned on?

When you've spoken with the CSR and if you don't have any joy (which I highly doubt) then I will see what can be done with the case number you've had logged.  But it sounds like the issue has sorted itself.
