Hello folks

I've added a bit of code that will show the current "Top Pages" on Geekzone. This is currently available at www.geekzone.co.nz and live.geekzone.co.nz. It updates every 30 seconds.

It shows which pages most of our visitors are reading/writing when the code updates.

It should complement well our self-updating Geekzone Live page, and the frontpage. If it's something people find useful then we could add to the forums pages.

Thats a cool feature, not sure how useful it is to have default.asp and forums.asp pages in the list though?

Yes, I could filter out those common URLs...

Ok, not showing forums.asp and default.asp anymore... All other pages are showing at the moment, but will refine these later.

I just noticed it a few minutes ago and was wondering "How long has that been there and did I never scroll that far down the page before?"

It's on http://live.geekzone.co.nz as well (with more entries than in our front page), and probably in a position that's better if you just want to leave the page updating...

Pretty interesting to see that pages from 2006/2008 are still really highly viewed.

There are pages that get thousands of views a month and you have no idea... Those Visual Studio 2008 pages are one example. The "Gmail as a free SMTP server" blog by TonyHughes is the top blog entry on Geekzone of all times and get thousands of views every month.

I am not listing numbers in that widget but the "Gmail as a free SMTP server" has about five to ten people on it every time I look at our live stats...

Actually, looking at it, being under the Forums in the front page makes not much sense... I will remove it and leave the update only in the Geekzone Live page.
