Jase2985: its not hard, but its about being given no choice but to fill in the survey if you dont want it coming back

I am also a person who stands on principles but you have to choose your battles. I know (and trust) Geekzone well enough that when the survey popped up, I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt though I was a little surprised at first. As has been pointed out, it was fairly painless.

freitasm: I think you folks take the question too literally.

Imagine it like this "If your friend or co-worker needed some help with something, would you recommend Geekzone?"

Unfortunately the standard NPS question is "Would you recommend Geekzone to a friend?" which obviously some of you wouldn't - neither would I. But if someone needs what we have here, would you?

"Give me ambiguity or give me something else"... you're dealing with technical people here, be precise!!!

Mine took over 10 seconds, maybe 10.6, I'm considering asking for a refund

But I gave a 10. There are experts here, there is banter, good people, and the range of topics goes well beyond tech and geek. I feel the latter point makes it very accessible to anyone

This would require some constant synchronous communication between the script and the servers. Once you dismiss in one tab the other tabs would either receive a push notification or constantly poll the server to see if there's anything there about the survey being completed/dismissed.

Seriously, the amount of time this would use on a CPU would make it an interesting exercise when people started complaining about it.

Just fill the survey or dismiss it. The other tabs will still be there but you know you done it so disregard. When you close those tabs it will be gone.

What's so hard about it?

Reading this thread, I think the time spent discussing has vastly exceeded the survey downtime! Quick, easy, useful to MF, done.
