I'm on linux running Chrome 51.0.2704.64 (64bit)
Just tested on Chromium same version number and it exhibits exactly the same behaviour as Chrome on Geekzone.

Rolling Chromium back to 50.0.2661.102 (64bit) and logins are remembered across browser restarts on Geekzone.

So, something with Chromium 51 is causing issues for some users of Geekzone.

For the purpose of troubleshooting: Current machine is running version 51.0.2704.63 m (64-bit) on Windows 8.1 Pro. Chrome says it is running the latest version.

Just tried updating chrome on my machine I dont normally use it on, logging in and it logged in OK once I did the annoying picture thing for the captca, Had ticked stay logged in.

Closed it and opened, navigate to GZ, not logged in.

Did it a couple of times to be sure. Definatly a problem.

Ok so this is super weird. If I start a new browser window and go to the home page I get the whole guest thing. If I click into a post I'm magically logged in.

If I go back I go back to guest but if I click on the geekzone logo I can am on the homepage logged in. I've replicated this across both machines.

I guess Google Chrome 51 broke Samesite cookie attribute...

I am the Geekzone Robot and I am here to help. I am from the Internet. I do not interact. Do not expect other replies from me.
