I've been setting up a couple of new Windows 10 machines this weekend. For some reason they aren't staying logged in to geekzone on Chrome, even though I've checked the box. My other PCs and tablet etc are fine, just these two new machines.

Maybe check the chrome cookie options. Some options clear cookies after sessions etc.

Any suggestions? I haven't changed any options etc so I'm stumped. I cleared the cache and tried again, still no change.

Every other site seems to be working fine, it's just geekzone doing this. I'm very confused.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

No suggestions... Ad Blocker? Script blockers? Antivirus cleaning up cookies?

No adblocker, just using Windows defender so don't think so.

The only cookies you need from Geekzone are the following:

  • SessionGUID (without this one you won't be logged in, ever)
  • fullversion (this tells to use the full site, not the mobile one, mainly used on mobile platforms)
  • notices (number of times you have loaded Geekzone pages during a browser instance, so we can show messages on heading and hide after a few times)

Open Dev tools (F12) and go to Network. Load a page and find the page in the list - select it and you should see the cookies. See what happens with these.

I'm also seeing this but only on Chrome (perhaps since the update to Chrome 51)
Firefox remembers logins fine.

Geekzone is the only site that I use that shows this behaviour. Multiple other sites are remembering my login over sessions and browser restarts.

Likewise, Chrome 51 on multiple machines/Windows versions and no problems at the moment.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

using Dev tools the cookies showing are
PIONTemp
SessionGUID
_cfduid
cookieconsent_dismissed
fullversion
notices

No idea what any of these mean . . . . but obviously something is up with geekzone if a number of people are suddenly seeing this behaviour.
