I favour it. Its an off topic, yes they can go on DIY but nothing like real world replies if the interest was there. Maybe start with the official gardening thread and see how that goes? If a good amount of interest a seperate forum where we can see topics is more useful than trawling through one cover everything topic.

Thanks folks for your views. We had 24 garden-related topics in the closest sub-forum (Home Workshop) - this is all garden posts over the last 15 years. I am not convinced it would be a good idea to add another sub-forum for no use.

 

We constantly have people who can't be bothered looking at the list of sub-forums to post topics in the correct location and growing the number of sub-forums won't help this situation. So that's a no for the moment.

You can gardening create topics in the Home Workshop sub-forum. If you have a single thread it makes it difficult for people to find things and make hard to justify a new sub-forum.
