freitasm: Yes, I found out that one this morning and will update a bit later... Thanks anyway.
eXDee: vBulletin [snip] Pretty much every big forum runs it.

freitasm: But we have this function. Every time you come back to Geekzone all new threads and discussions with new replies are marked with.
Each individual forum is marked with the sameicon if there was any discussion within that has been updated.
This way you only have to follow the forums you want - better than visiting the frontpage only, and better than getting the single RSS feed.
bazzer: Why doesn't it look that much different to me? Also, I still have the problem that I don't stay logged in...

eXDee: Speaking of this what forum software is this actually using? Is it custom?
vBulletin > All - it has all of those features you mentioned + more. Pretty much every big forum runs it.

We only changed the menu on top and footer so far.
The automatic login was removed for security reasons and there's another discussion on this.
What security reasons?? It's a pain in the but now. The only website of this type that I visit that requires it..

maybe make the tabs a wee bit smaller as they use a lot of vertical screen estate,, they are currently monstrous on the small screen with weeny little text in then.
the font reminds me of Times New Roman

I am calling you up on this, and request sources/evidence to back up this claim.

Not true, there are a lot of forums that are built on a Microsoft platfrom and they certainly don't run it. There is also no way I Geekzone moving to vBulletin like somebody suggested for that exact reason.
freitasm:grant_k: Why can't it be done here as well?
Because no one ever asked for it.

I've asked for this at least once, most recent ask (with images of a website that has it) here, a couple of months ago. While searching for the other post (can't find it) I came across this request from about a year ago.
Having a "new posts" would be nice, there are just too many forums to keep track of, clicking on a 'new posts' button would be much better.
