Also, the website does that weird narrow formatting thing too - it coincides when a banner ad pops up at the bottom.

In any case, thanks for not blocking them. We do need the revenue to keep the lights on.

I’ve always had ads and have never had issues with the formatting - think it also maybe coincided with the last os update, maybe?
Safari in both iOS and MacOS is rubbish currently!!!
The little things make the biggest difference.
Edge on my iPhone is fine

Still not observing any issues whatsoever on my iPhone so I am still not sold on the 'iOS is broken' theory. I am a subsriber though so wonder if it's the ads thats triggering some sort of issue?
iOS 26.5 has been released today and since I've updated I have not seen this issue pop up. But Murphy's Law stipulates it'll eventually happen to me but not everyone else.
So everyone, update your devices and give it a go.

Just happened to me again on Spark just now on iOS 26.5.
Can someone link me to the bug report or something for this?
I haven't hit this with my idingus

No need to rub in that you have your own law 😀
A week or two ago I noticed when connecting to PAK'nSAVE's website (Cloudflare CDN) it waited for protocol downgrade to plain http before resuming on https. Is this what's happening here (and is what Safari doesn't like)?
Damn it. Still not fixed on the latest version of iOS.
And only affecting sites behind Cloudflare. I’m calling it, it’s a Cloudflare issue.

I just updated iPad to 26.5 and tested it without success - then saw your post.
Isn't it possible that it's an Apple bug (per Mauricio) but not addressed in the 26.5 updates?
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
It's a bit of a strange one, because I've struggled to find other mentions of it. It didn't seem to correspond to an iOS update in the first place.
It might be tricky to track down where the actual problem is. I saw something recently where three systems all used the same protocol but while A and B could talk to each other, and B and C could talk to each other, A and C refused to communicate. It turned out that despite all three following the protocol specification exactly as written, there was a bit that wasn't specified as explicitly as it should have been, and that's where the issue was.
The moral of the story, if there is such a thing, is that without a detailed analysis, we can't be sure whether it's an iOS issue, a Cloudflare issue, or maybe even a Microsoft issue (is the site still on IIS?). Maybe it only occurs when all three are in the mix.
Yes, still on IIS, still on Cloudflare. But as mentioned, some have reported that the connection is not even established.
Perhaps something with HSTS support on Safari? HSTS is well-established and years old, though.

Ah, yes. I forgot about that. So IIS, and Geekzone itself, probably don't have anything to do with it.
