Ok, I'm blind then lol. Have the links up the top grown? I don't remember PublicAddress, Pundit or Scoop being there, but maybe I had another blind moment.

Ok... The only "visible" change is the way we are loading scripts. There's an invisible change though. It's been there for two weeks and I see there aren't any geeks around here, otherwise people would've noticed that ;)

Oh see, didn't notice
I do notice though, that if I click home etc, the rotating circle on FF's tab goes on for ages. Never used to

Geekzone uses a CDN now? Wait a minute this might have been an old change?

The CDN has been used for a couple of months too.

I'm wondering whether IPv6 might be back, but I can't test it until I get home :(

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

No, IPv6 is not back yet... I am still waiting for Datacom on this.

freitasm:
gjm: the discussions list on the homepage doesn't seem to load with adblock enabled in chrome. Still works with firefox though.

Restriction? Feature? Bug?

Probably an AdBlock bug.

We load the discussions as a javascript call, so we can reload it every few minutes, without the need of a user initiated page refresh. What I've done this morning is just enable a Javascript Async load feature across the site, so I guess AdBlock is thinking this is an ad and blocking the whole thing.

My suggestion is to either disable AdBlock or change your profile setttings to make it a manual refresh.

So it was an unintended consequence?

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=4&topicid=65289&page_no=1#361263

If not, then it's clever... If so, then it's fortuitous :-)

Cheers -- N

Unintended consequence. Really trying to make the whole site load faster. We have reduced average page load time from 10.5 seconds down to 6 seconds in the last six months and working to make it even faster.

Obviously there's always some people who don't recognise any efforts put into this anyway...

freitasm: ???

It appears in the source of GZ pages.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.
