freitasm: Only one server, 2 CPUs, plenty of memory.

Truth is... 9am is good time for us. Really we have about 70% of traffic coming from overseas, and 9am is our easiest time of the day. And 20 minutes to get the server back with a lot more memory. C'mon guys - go get a coffee. Then come back with more furious posting!

Have you considered doing rehersals like they do for the motor racing?

What about getting 5 geeks to do the job?

You know...  if I change the tyres on my car, fill it with fuel and wash the screen it would take me 20 minutes...  if you get a team of those motor sports guys to do it then it gets done in under 15 seconds, and they put in three times as much fuel and tyres that are about 5 times bigger than mine.

By my reasoning you should be able to get the server back on line before the router even notices that the packet hasn't been delivered.

As for the time of day....  Why are the NZ team complaining?  They're not awake yet are they?

Cheers Don

Hmmm. It didn't quite work as planned and a different type of memory is required. This will be re-scheduled.

On the other hand, since I can't return the memory I will swap 512MB with 1GB on my Exchange Server and another 1GB to my desktop. My home server will go from 2.5GB to 3GB and my desktop from 2GB to 3GB.

Good use for all this...
