We are planning a short outage (20 minutes) this Friday 6 October 2006, from 9am (NZ DST, for other timezones check this).

This outage will allow us to install additional memory to the server, which will help us improve response times, database access and other little things behind the scenes.

How about I test it here first? Just to make sure it's okay.. Hate for it to knock out the GZ server now, right?

Only one server, 2 CPUs, plenty of memory.

Truth is... 9am is good time for us. Really we have about 70% of traffic coming from overseas, and 9am is our easiest time of the day. And 20 minutes to get the server back with a lot more memory. C'mon guys - go get a coffee. Then come back with more furious posting!
