freitasm: This could be a consequence of turning Riverbed Aptimize off. Also, are you using any "data compression" or "data saving" option on your browser? While we still use the CDN, and the cache option is set for all images, when you use a "data compression" or "data saving" in your browser it sends a request to a proxy server that most of the times is on the other side of the world, adding latency to requests that would be a lot faster if just left alone.

Not intentionally. Will try to find it in the many settings in Dolphin when I can later. No problems on Chrome for Android. If only Chrome handled text reflow as well as Dolphin!

Chrome on Android will not do text reflow, as explained in their notes. I switched to HTC Browser just because of that.

No problem using Chrome on a tablet in landscape mode, but on a smartphone with portrait mode, reflow is a must.

Their loss!

I switched to HTC Browser just because of that.

It's officially available on the Play Store, but not available for my phone. Might look into it further.

Not wrong there.

Anyhoo, getting back on topic, it appears I am no longer pesona non grata at GZ. The logins are sticking. The only thing that is different is that I am now visting in Australia and roaming onf vodafone using a 2degrees SIM.

I have to say that the idea of Apple sending Safari updates every minute or so is a bit hard to believe. This was the frequency with which I was being unlogged from GZ over the last few weeks. Intutitvely, I'm sure there was some other reason.

They may not be sending updates but passing your requests through different proxies - we see different "browser identifications" coming through from Apple devices at every request.

Last 24 hours seems to be much better for me, I don't think I've had to [re]log in once.
Cheers,
Joseph

Just got home from work only to find that I've been booted again (Safari 8.0.2, still not updated).

I wondered whether it was possibly getting confused when I logged in from work (ie. using a different computer). I've logged in on my Raspberry Pi and my laptop is still showing as logged in, so that doesn't seem to be the issue.

No, each browser is an individual session, even on the same computer.

Just got logged out again, mid-session. My user agent (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_1) AppleWebKit/600.2.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0.2 Safari/600.2.5) hasn't changed.

It didn't. I made a note of it before and after, and it's exactly the same.

Okay so I got home at 6pm today to find myself logged out again. I have spent the last 2 hours on Geekzone since then and have been logged out twice in that time all during the same session without restarting my browser.
