Rikkitic:

I appreciate the problem with bots and I know that no-one is going out of their way to annoy people, but I really hate these Captchas. They are an absolute pain in the butt.

+1. I have to de-NoScript Google just to log in, which means a million other websites get more annoying because now all the Google gunk that's attached to them is activated. Is there some other way to rate-limit bots, e.g. running Fail2ban, which doesn't involve that annoying captcha every time I log in? I've also had the problem where it's taken me five or ten attempts to log in just to reply to a post or message, although luckily none in the past few weeks.

We have now removed the captcha from login pages. I strongly recommend people enable two-factor authentication.

I was just logging in from a new system and noticed that the Captcha was missing; good to see that it was a deliberate choice.

Meanwhile, greetings from NetSurf on my Raspberry Pi, now that I can actually log in! (it doesn't support JavaScript). [Edit: And apparently doesn't support line breaks either!]

I'm a bit scared to log out of GZ on our laptop in case it won't let me back in again.

I rarely ever access GZ from any other computer or device.
