I propose a new rule - anyone that turns up with a new 3g iPhone can clearly afford to extend the bar tab.

Is anyone going to be driving via Taupo on the Friday that wouldn't mind an extra passenger? There is absolutely NO availability on any flight into Napier for that weekend for some reason, so am having to fly AKL - TUO and NPE - AKL.

I have a prior engagement in W'gton, otherwise
I'd liked to have poked my nose in, too. Probably
just as well, actually, because I'm a very slow learner.

Don't know what the rates are, but the Cumberland
Court Motel is even closer to the Corn Exchange.
It's just across the road diagonally by about 100
metres. The Omahu Lodge is about three blocks
away, opposite the hospital.

Enjoy yourselves. I hope the weather is OK, too.

Out of interest, how many people actually live in Hawkes Bay and how many are coming from out of town?

Would anyone be interested in some sort of regular meet-up in Hawkes Bay. possible modelled on TNC (Thursday Night Curry)?

There is a Linux User Group in Hawkes Bay that meets monthly, and I think there may be a Mac User Group, but am I unaware of any other regular geek meetups.

Great idea. So good, that I have just gone ahead and done it.

Anyone in Hawkes Bay interested in meeting monthly for drinks/nibbles/discussion with an IT bent can visit tall.co.nz/hbit and sign up to the mailing list.
