Thanks for the feedback. I'm still looking at this. In the meantime I have found a couple of other things that could be updated (done).

I am wondering if it just my ISP, but I am noticing a lag after clicking on a link, and it loading the page. Maybe 2-3 seconds. Happens in both iPhone and desktop. I don’t recall it doing it a few days ago prior. Spark user.

Thank you for posting that. I'd noticed the same thing since the switchover but since the thread was pretty much exclusively glowing comments I thought the issue must be at my end.

It's good to hear that it's known about and that it's being worked on :)

I have an idea of what is causing it. But it's something for tomorrow now.

Huge improvement! Well done!

Actually - looks like past emoji's are gone including the ✨ sparkles at the top right.

aj6828: nice to see its hosted in nz..

Always has been 😊 - there's an old blog post (archive.org link) here about some history and an old thread here about the last server upgrade. @freitasm think I've captured some history but feel free to add more!

Emojis are back!

And yes, Geekzone was always hosted in New Zealand, and still is.

A bit of curiosity: the old server is being removed from Datacom this week, 15 years to the day when it went in.

I think @saf, @danfaulknor, @skyplonk, @michaelmurfy and @freitasm would get that first would they not?
