alikat: I was going to subscribe the minute you announced it in NZ dollars. I wanted the certainty of a regular amount each month/year not subject to fluctuations in currency. Imagine my surprise when I log in today to subscribe and find the trial. Thanks MF!! I can now hold onto my money until November....

You could just buy it now anyway, and then you will have that nice warm n fuzzy feeling inside.

Wow yeah, I never knew ads would make a site so slow (even with ad-block software).
It sure is much faster now, thanks for a much better experience Mauricio, even if it is just for a month.

Most adblock software won't stop scripts running so they only really save a few kilobytes and not much time. A page with no scripts is way faster.

As Nate says, if you like it you know how to keep it going - subscribe!

The charges will be in NZ$ you shouldn't be charged anything extra.

Ok ... I admit it ... something is wrong with me ... but if I go to the subscription page, how to I progress to getting some money and making my subscription last another 12 months?

Cheers,
Warren.

You can't until your current subscription runs out. This is to prevent subscribers paying it twice - or more. I wouldn't have a problem with that, but who knows?

If you want to do it today I can remove your subscription now.

Yuck, ads are back!!!!! I'd completely forgotten how much they slow the site down!

I am definitely going to subscribe but I'm getting married in three weeks so head office has limited my expenditure, so I'll keep her happy by waiting until after the wedding!

I was still having major delays loading sometimes before - the status bar was hanging on feeds.geekzone or something with just the left sidebar loaded - it still does it, just with the ads in there already which is why I was thinking it was the ad's slowing it down. Its good today tho. I think its timing out loading something when I am torrenting at the same time.
