I would also say my email provider should be putting things in the Junk box (assuming the issue was that they were being treated as such) and not just silently discarding them. Grr.

Things seem to be a little broken at the moment, at least on Spark (both at work and on my phone). The live forum updates on the home page aren't coming through, I can't get to the "your profile" page, and I can't post new threads. Hopefully this reply goes through!

This weekend I worked to optimise the most used database queries, about ten. 

 

I also worked the WAF (web application firewall) rules, by simplifying them, and blocking some bot traffic that are not needed for search.

 

The database load seems to be lighter than before, even with more traffic. Pages seem to be faster now too.

The main geekzone page feels much quicker now. There was always a 1-2 second delay, even on the old host, but now it’s almost instant.

I am wondering if it just my ISP, but I am noticing a lag after clicking on a link, and it loading the page. Maybe 2-3 seconds. Happens in both iPhone and desktop. I don’t recall it doing it a few days ago prior. Spark user.

Also getting the same thing since the cutover, takes 2-4 seconds when clicking on any link before anything happens 

 

 

I've done a lot of work in the last two weeks, and I think we have the server running even faster than before the move now.

I have changed how we count the +1 and this has been restore to under the user profile now.
