If you are not 18, then unless your parent or legal guardian is coming, you will not legally be allowed to enter the licenced premises that the event is being held in.

Eh? It's at spags, it's a pizza joint (A very good pizza joint, BTW), not a pub... And even if it was people under 18 can enter by themselves, they just can't by booze...

Here is the problem - minors wouldn't have to buy drinks because these are free. So someone needs to be responsible for minors there while free alcohol is available.
