Seeing that Microsoft is trialing Windows Live Barcode using QR Code that Mauricio blogged about., and I have created one for the fun of course. I was thinking of using it as my avatar, however, our Geekzone Avatar only allow 80x80 square. So would it be possible to have the avatar enlarged to 114x114 resolution at least?

Yup, that's good. I tried the Kaywa QR Code generator, the smallest it offers is 115x115, I don't think QR Code can be any smaller than 100x100 though otherwise it gets distorted.

Anyhow, thank for the increase to 114x114. I think QR Code will be the best use as Avatar on many forums! :-) Final an avatar with good usage.

p/s: how does one get hold of that WL Barcode reader? I see Kaywa has QR Code reader, but it doesn't support any WM5/2003 devices. :-(

I don't know - the demo clearly shows a Windows Mobile version, but there's no information anywhere...

Now im sure this is a nifty idea but on a 320x240 screen those avatsrs are a real pain. How many people are really going to use these?

on small screen like 240x320, we won't even have full webpage be showing on mobile devices anyway. So some work need to be done (by me) to get Geekzone overhauled in CSS makeover sense.

After seeing the size, and thinking about it I decided to move back to 80x80. Much more "bandwidth" friendly for users on slower connections (yes, we still have those) and small screens such as PDA (I use this a lot myself).
