I have an active subscription (at least, I can still get into the subscriber forum so I presume that it's still active!) and have in the past couple of days started getting ads on the mobile site (iPhone with iOS 5). I know that there have been a few site upgrades recently and it looks like something may have broken in the process :)

We had the mobile site blocked for robots and it seems Google was just serving some defaults - including this one. I have changed it, so it should start showing something related to the pages instead, exactly like the main site.

Working on the subscriber thing this weekend.

I have now changed the mobile site to follow the Show Ads preference set by subscribers in the main site. If you set your account to not show ads, then you won't see ads when using the mobile site.

That's because up until now we blocked the Googlebot from our mobile site. I have changed this during the weekend, meaning that we will have the site being indexed by Google Mobile while also allowing the Google bot responsible for reading our pages to determine which ads to show.

It might take a couple of days before it starts showing ads targeted to the site instead of those generic ones...

I can confirm that's back to being ad-free. Thanks! :)
