There are long threads here that I want to read offline.

Is it possible to display all the replies in one page for easy searching/printing?

Possible? Yes. Available at the moment? No.

It can be done though. I will have a think about this.

Thanks for considering.

I just bought a samsung galaxy s3 over the weekend and planning to read the 270+ pages about it. It may be long and boring but I'm sure its a goldmine of information.

Going back between pages to track conversations is not an easy thing to do with that number of pages.

Done - still have to add a link to a single page version... For the moment being just add "&singlepage=yes" to the end of the URL and you will get the whole thread in a single page.

Look at this - very long threads are causing an error. I will keep working on this and let you know when it's ok to use.

It should be ok to use now.

Note that it's read only. Post a reply and it will go back to paginating. Also note the resulting page and images will be huge!

That was quick.

Its working now. Downloading the whole thread page as one mht file.

I cant print it directly though as there's too much space in between.
I don't know if you can go one step further to format it ready for printing.

No worries if not, I can probably modify the mht file manually.

Sorry, an update. After testing this with long threads I came to the conclusion we will have to limit to 500 replies per page due to response size and time.

Most discussions will fit in a single page, with the very long ones fitting in less pages.

Like!

So wish I had spotted this earlier today when I was catching up on the Wheedle thread out and about.

Is it available on geekzone mobile as well?

This is awesome - something I have been wanting for ages (but didn't think to ask oddly enough) - I don't mind switching pages but this just make it easier for browsing.

I have now released an updated forum script version with the icon for the Long Page. Note that we limit to 750 replies per page, so "single page" is not quite...

Most of the discussions will fit in a single page though, with very few needing more than one page with 750 replies.

Nice... I like.

*searches for the 427 page, 6391 reply, original Galaxy S thread*

It's only 13 pages now! :P

You can skip the first 90 or so pages of that thread as its pretty much all chit chat.

Anyone brave enough to try this on a mobile device with a 750 reply thread?  ;   ).

The first page of this thread totals 210 requests, 5 MB. On a mobile device it will be number of requests killing it, not the size.
