Links created with BBCode open in the same tab - therefore navigating away from the geekzone site.

Links created with the html editor open in a new window / new tab - this is the behavior I prefer.

[Edit: had those the wrong way around initially]

  • Links created with BBCODE open in new tab;
  • Links created with editor open in the tab you select in the dropdown list (as per image below)

I'm suggesting the editor default is set same as the bbcode outcome.
