Welcome PeterReader, our Geekzone Robot. I coded it to post replies in some forums depending on keywords... You can see an example here.

If you have suggestions to make PeterReader more useful, or expand the text used there (and suggest other uses), please post here...

And yes, its name is PeterReader in a salute to JohnR and plambrechtsen.

I love it! Means that we don't have to repeat ourselves so often!

Good work.

A couple of suggestions on the DSL auto response.

1) expand on the DSL stats asked for - specifically sync rate, attenuation and noise margin.

2) Also link it to Steve's recent (and most excellent!) blog http://www.geekzone.co.nz/sbiddle/8357

freitasm: Peter created a Twitter account for PeterReader...

Which Peter - Peter Reader or Peter LamB?

As Peter's posts increase, will he become a Master Filter, rather than a Master Geek?

This is awesome. I can sense the future coming already. Bots replace the humans.

Peter and John are redundant now, and will have to go back to their day job of actually keeping the blinking lights at work.... blinking....

Now i wonder if we can get bots to replace the technical workers.... I'm sure the good folk at Telecom are thinking this....

(tongue removed from cheek and replaced with a robotic one)

Wink

Perhaps it could be improved by linking to definitions of some of the technical terms, eg:

"If you know your connection is to an exchange, cabinet or conklin"

I personally still don't understand what a conklin is.

Feature idea:
Get PeterReader to say 'Hi' and introduce himself to every new post on the introductions forum. Then he could explain himself to everyone new.

Is Peter designed to become some omnipotent self-sustaining being?

Will he, at some point, oust you, Mauricio?

PeterReader: I'm sorry, Mauricio, I'm afraid I can't do that.

He's already following a rule to reply to new topics in Introduction. But I will probably follow your suggestion and expand the text with links, etc...
