Was replying to a message and the editor was really screwed up. Tried to insert text and nothing happened then the cursor would move a char at a time. Later, writing on one line saw the next line backspace itself!

Finally got some semblance of order and sent it. Screen went blank and then I noticed another tab with Pingdom results on it for Geekzone.

Paranoia took over for a bit - thought I had been hijacked.

WEIRD.

Are you sure it was Pingdom? We are not running any of the Pingdom scripts this week.

I have had the editor freak out like that on me before. Its like I am typing somewhere else since I can shift arrow, and then ctrl C to copy text that I typed but it is not showing in the editor. The basic editor at the bottom of the page has never given me issues however.

@freitasm. Very definitely. Never heard of it before but it certainly was Pingdom.

@richms. Glad to hear I wasn't going mad! It was very weird behaviour, for sure.

The editor is a javascript software. Anything on the browser could cause this - including toolbars with settings to highlight fields for automatic fill, or trying to inject ads.

We have removed Pingdom code last week, so if you see it then it was injected and I suggest you check your PC.
